Glasgow Boat Builder Ultimate Boats Wins New Deal to Build Two Recyclable Military Ribs

Glasgow UK boat builder Ultimate Boats is building two new recyclable rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) after winning a deal with a UK maritime security client. The 11.5m boats named Lightning are being created with military veterans and are capable of high-speed transportation of fully equipped troops engaged in a range of missions. Duties will include, counter-terrorism, strategic reconnaissance, direct action raids, border patrols, and search and rescue (SAR).

Robosys Secures a Contract From Legacy Marine for Supply of an AI-Driven Autonomous Control System for A 9.5m USV

Robosys Automation, the AI-driven maritime autonomy & smart-shipping specialist, has secured a contract from Legacy Marine of South Africa, for the supply and integration of AI systems for a fully autonomous USV. The bespoke fully autonomous AI-driven unmanned surface vessel (USV) has been designed by Icarus Marine and will be constructed by Legacy Marine, which is headquartered in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), South Africa.
