Valeport Strengthens Team with New Product Manager
Pioneering the field of oceanographic and hydrographic instrumentation, Valeport is delighted to introduce Amy Thompson as its latest Product Manager. Bringing over a decade of experience in oceanography and customer relations to this freshly established role at Valeport, Amy is a valuable addition.
Formerly serving as a Support Manager at OceanWise, Amy joins Valeport to bolster its Innovation and Product Department, working closely with hydrographic specialist Iain Slade, who leads the department.
Drawing from her background in operational oceanography, Amy will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy for all Valeport and Valeport Water products. Her responsibilities encompass generating innovative ideas and overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to customer delivery and beyond. Amy will collaborate closely with the team to ensure that Valeport's product portfolio remains relevant and aligned with current and future customer requirements.
Amy's appointment underscores Valeport's unwavering commitment to innovation, ensuring that their technology remains at the forefront of the industry. Iain Slade shared his thoughts, stating:
"Amy's appointment comes at a crucial time as we enhance our offerings, strengthen product support, and explore future developments with our environmental sensor range."
"Amy brings operational knowledge, practical experience, a dedication to sustainability, and a deep understanding of customer needs, making her a valuable addition to our team. We are delighted to welcome Amy on board."
Amy boasts a rich portfolio of projects in both the UK and abroad, including collaborations with the UK Hydrographic Office and Environment Agency. Holding a Masters in Oceanography and serving on the Board of the Marine Science and Technology Group at the Society of Maritime Industries, Amy is poised to make a significant impact in her new role. She expressed her enthusiasm, saying:
"I am thrilled to join Valeport. Having worked with many Valeport products in previous roles, I have always trusted the technology. The opportunity to contribute to the development of new technologies and pursue my passion for innovative solutions in the new Innovation and Product Development Department is very appealing to me. Equally important was the culture of Valeport's business, which I find highly attractive. Not only is the team exceptionally skilled, but they also appear remarkably content. It is impressive to see so many colleagues with extensive years of experience within the company, and I truly appreciate that."
Valeport continues to set sail towards pioneering advancements, and Amy Thompson's appointment further solidifies their position as a leader in oceanographic and hydrographic instrumentation.
