UK Mission to the EU Organises the UK-EU Green Skills Workshop

In an effort to bridge the skills gap in achieving net zero targets, the UK Mission to the EU, in collaboration with the UK Skills Partnership, is organising a Green Skills Workshop in Brussels.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, 29th February 2023, from 13:30 to 19:00 CET. The workshop aims to bring together UK and EU skills providers, businesses, and business advisers to foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration in developing training programmes that align with the workforce needs of the renewable energy and sustainable construction sectors.
The workshop aims to address the shortage of workers with specific skill sets required for implementing net-zero technologies, which is a challenge shared by the UK and the EU. The event will provide UK and EU skills providers, businesses, and business providers working in these sectors with an opportunity to exchange views on the shared challenges and best practices to overcome these barriers.
Interested participants, including businesses, business advisers, and skills providers, are invited to submit a short registration form before 26th January 2023 here.
Selection criteria:
- For Skills Providers: Your organisation’s work is defined or is moving in the direction of delivering skills training for jobs in renewable energy sectors and/or sustainable construction sector.
- For businesses or business advisers: Your company or client operates in the renewable energy and/or sustainable construction sectors.
- For all: You are interested in building relationships with other like-minded UK and EU skills providers and businesses to share best practice and collaborate on addressing common skills shortages in the renewable energy sectors and/or sustainable construction sector.
