UCL seeks Associate Professor or Lecturer of Marine Engineering

University College London's prestigious Mechanical Engineering department is actively seeking an outstanding academic to enrich its esteemed Marine Research Group. Renowned globally as a research powerhouse with a rich maritime history, the London-based institution has opened a compelling opportunity for a new faculty member. This comes on the heels of the appointment of Professor Richard Bucknall as the new head of UCL Mechanical Engineering.
In addition to the impressive lineage of the Marine Research group, UCL boasts comprehensive MSc programs in Marine Engineering, Power Systems, Naval Architecture, and a specialised postgraduate course in Submarine Design and Acquisition. Notably, this autumn marked the inauguration of the cutting-edge MSc in Advanced Propulsion at the state-of-the-art UCL East campus.
UCL Engineering's commitment to excellence is reflected in its recent expansion, featuring advanced facilities like the Manufacturing Futures Lab and the Advanced Propulsion Lab, both unveiled in September 2023. The institution earned the distinguished title of "University of the Year 2024" from The Times, solidifying its position following the expansion into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, where it joins an illustrious cultural zone dubbed "EastBank," alongside institutions such as the BBC, Sadler's Wells, and the University of the Arts London.
