Sonardyne Presented With Dual King's Awards by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire

Global underwater technology company Sonardyne International has been formally presented with its two prestigious King’s Awards for Enterprise in a ceremony at its Hampshire, UK, headquarters.
The King's Awards for Sustainable Development and International Trade were presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Mr Nigel Atkinson, on Friday, October 10.
The King’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious award for UK businesses. Receiving two in one year highlights the company's excellence across different, yet interconnected, areas of its operations.
Graham Brown, Managing Director of Sonardyne, commented on the occasion:
“It was a great honour to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire to our headquarters to formally receive our two King’s Awards. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, ingenuity, and collaborative spirit of our entire team worldwide.
"These awards validate our long-standing commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology while championing sustainable practices and fostering strong international partnerships.”
The Lord-Lieutenant said:
“It was my pleasure to present the two awards on behalf of His Majesty The King to acknowledge the continued growth and development of Sonardyne.”
The Award for Sustainable Development acknowledges the company's success in achieving carbon neutrality for its UK operations and its role in developing technologies that support the sustainable use of the world’s oceans.
The Award for International Trade celebrates Sonardyne's remarkable 83% growth in overseas sales over three years, demonstrating the global trust in its innovative solutions for the offshore energy, ocean science, and maritime security sectors.
It is just over three decades since Sonardyne’s first Queen’s Award, received in 1995, for Technological Innovation, recognising the pioneering development of its Seismic Integrated Positioning System. Sonardyne then also received Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in Innovation in 2014, for underwater digital acoustic communications technology, and again in 2021, for seabed deformation monitoring technology.
