SMI responds to Request for Information on the Floating Offshore Wind Manufacturing Investment Scheme

The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) has today submitted its official response to the Request for Information from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) on the Floating Offshore Wind Manufacturing Investment Scheme (FLOWMIS).
As the trade association for the UK’s maritime engineering, science and technology community, SMI welcomes the chance to contribute to the ambition of achieving net zero by 2050 and supports the Government for seeking to make the UK a global leader in offshore wind. We have worked closely with our membership across the whole supply chain to put forward a vision to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the transition to net zero, whilst driving investment in firms operating throughout the maritime engineering industry.
