SMI Job Opportunities - PTG & DTG Director

A new and exciting job opportunity has opened at SMI. We are looking for a director for two of our sector groups, the Ports & Terminals and Digital Technology Groups.
About the role
This is a key role within the SMI team and the candidate will need to work closely with colleagues to drive the continued growth of the organisation and support and engage with our members.
The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the maritime sector. Experience in commercial matters with cost centre responsibility is desirable together with a mature, confident and personable manner, able to liaise with contacts at the highest level.
Excellent communication skills both in writing and orally are essential. As the role requires regular attendance of breakfast briefings and evening events in central London, the candidate must live within a daily commute of our central London office.
Travel is also a part of the job within the UK, and there is potential for international opportunities for missions and exhibitions.
