Kort Propulsion and SHM Solutions Announce Strategic Partnership

Kort Propulsion (UK) announce a strategic partnership with SHM Solutions. This collaboration will enable the two companies to deliver integrated equipment solutions for a broad range of vessels worldwide, combining their expertise to meet the evolving needs of the maritime industry.
Effective immediately, SHM Solutions will offer all Kort Propulsion products under the SHM brand, seamlessly integrating them with its existing range of products, systems, and services. This partnership enhances SHM Solutions’ ability to provide comprehensive and customised solutions for its clients.
“Our new alliance marks a milestone for SHM Solutions,” says Yngve Bøe Myklebust, CEO, SHM Solutions. “For a long time, we have been looking for a new partner, enabling us to become a full-service provider delivering end-to-end solutions. Kort Propulsion has turned out to be the perfect match for us. By combining their specialised expertise and solutions with our position as a leading provider of safety equipment, cranes, winches, hydraulic systems, and control systems, we are positioned to meet even more of the evolving needs of the maritime industry. Most importantly, our partnership will streamline operations for both the shipyards and marine operators, reducing the number of integrations related to operations, installation, and aftermarket services, and providing a single point of contact.”
“Kort Propulsion’s solutions represent a seamless extension of what we already deliver,” Myklebust continues. “They are clearly a solid player, with impressive experience and a track record of successful reference projects. By combining our strengths, we can deliver even more complete and efficient solutions, tailored to our customers’ needs.
“This partnership represents a strong alignment with our focus areas, including aquaculture. Based on what we’ve seen so far, Kort Propulsion complements us exceptionally well in terms of values as well of products, sharing our commitment to flexibility and responsiveness. Their ability to quickly adapt to changing needs aligns perfectly with our top priority: always delivering the best for our customers.”
“We are thrilled to partner with SHM Solutions on our comprehensive range of Thrusters and Steering Systems. With over 90 years of expertise in designing and delivering high-quality propulsion solutions, Kort Propulsion has built a reputation for reliability and innovation. This partnership allows us to enhance our service capabilities and extend our reach to provide customers with integrated, efficient, and tailored solutions. We see this synergy as a significant step forward in meeting the evolving demands of the maritime industry,” says Dave Parsons, Managing Director of Kort Propulsion.
