SeaBot Maritime's Exclusive VIP Briefing Showcases Future of Maritime Operations

SeaBot Maritime hosted a VIP briefing on Monday 23rd October at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, providing an exclusive insight into the future of maritime operations. The attendees had the chance to witness MASS training in progress. The training marked the convergence of commercial and military interests, with delegates from the Royal Navy's NavyX programme joining commercial trainees for specialised training in remote operations with uncrewed surface vessels. This 10-day training course, held from 16th to 27th October, also introduced the Navy's developmental vessel, the Patrick Blackett, into the programme.
Attendees had the opportunity to:
- Learn about a comprehensive competency framework tailored for uncrewed operations.
- Observe live training exercises officially recognised by the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
- Engage with trainees and network with technology professionals interested in the UK's approach to competency development in Maritime Autonomous Ship Systems (MASS).
- Witness a demonstration of a new simulation class and state-of-the-art facilities supporting advanced aritime training.
The SeaBot Maritime VIP briefing event highlighted the rapid advancements in maritime technology and demonstrated the commitment of the UK's commercial and military sectors to advancing uncrewed operations.
