Sea Bot Maritime announces Steve Brunton CBE as Chairman
SeaBot Maritime's Executive Board has announced the appointment of Steve Brunton CBE, Royal Navy, Rear Admiral (Rtd) as SeaBot Maritime's new Chairman.
As Chairman, Steve will provide leadership to SeaBot Maritime's elearning, change management and digital transformation initiatives to the maritime industry, including its product lines, SkillsWallet Digital and Global Maritime Portal, together with the SeaBot Maritime Training Academy.
Prior to joining SeaBot Maritime, Steve's career spanned defence and enterprise, with a strong portfolio of change and acquisition experiences at all levels, including 36 years in the Royal Navy, with 27 years' direct acquisition-based roles. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Steve retired from the Royal Navy in 2014 as a Rear Admiral and the MOD's Director Ships Acquisition. His remit was building all the UK warships including the HMS Queen Elizabeth, the Type 26 and Batch 2 River class patrol vessels.
Following his distinguished Royal Navy career, Steve formed Adjuvo Associates, providing direct support on leadership, development and management of complex programmes and their associated strategies. This included advising the Canadian Government on its National Shipbuilding Strategy and the Australian DoD as part of an Expert Advisory Panel. He is an advisor to lonburst, a new disruptive technology for cyber security, protecting data and our way of life. He is also an independent advisor to the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee of the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Charity.
