Roxtec Appoints New Process Market Manager
Leading cable and pipe seal manufacturer Roxtec Ltd has appointed a new process industries technical manager.
Renzo Schettini joins Greater Manchester-based Roxtec Ltd after spending several years as business development manager for a UK based manufacturer and supplier of cable glands and cable cleats.
In that role Renzo, who has a strong background in sales and support, was responsible for a large part of the cable specialist’s European territory, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Switzerland.
He has gained widespread experience working with operators, EPCs and OEMs as well as supporting distributors and sub-contractors.
He has more than 15 years experience in a range of sectors that include industrial safety devices (oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and OEM).
In his new role, Renzo will work to help to drive Roxtec’s business and its presence in the process industries, focusing on decarbonisation projects of industrial clusters across the UK whilst remaining committed to the petrochemical industry.
His appointment comes as Swedish owned Roxtec, which has its UK headquarters in Waterfold Business Park in Bury, is looking ahead to a strong 12 months driving UK turnover to more than £6million and group turnover to over £173million. UK headcount now stands at 20.
It continues to see growth in the power and process industries markets, which are key to the company’s long-term strategy.
Roxtec’s cable and pipe seals are found widely in a range of process industries, including mining and metals, the onshore oil, gas and petrochemical sectors as well as pulp and paper plants.
Its cable entry seals are ideal for field-based terminal boxes, electric heat trace cabinets, remote I/O cabinets, DCS/PLC cabinets and other high cable density applications in harsh environments.
Renzo said:
“I’m really looking forward to my new role, working to drive the business forward as it further enhances its place as the global leader in pipe and cable safety seals.
“Roxtec is a name known across the world for its engineering excellence and its innovation.
“These are exciting times for the business, and I can’t wait to get out there to support its customers, helping them find the right solutions that work for them and building on already strong relationships.”
Roxtec’s cable and pipe seals are used to protect people and assets from multiple hazards including fire, flooding, the risk of explosion and electromagnetic disturbances. Key benefits include durability, reliability and flexibility.
A key benefit of using Roxtec is the Roxtec Transit Designer software, which enables users to select the right sealing solution and design hundreds of cable and pipe transits in just a few minutes.
The software has more than 40,000 users worldwide helping companies reduce risk, improve safety and save engineering time.
