Roxtec Announced as Bronze Sponsor for Society of Maritime Industries Conference 2026

The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) has confirmed Roxtec as a Bronze Sponsor of the SMI Conference 2026, taking place on 17 February 2026 at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre in Glasgow. In addition to its sponsorship, Roxtec will be exhibiting at the conference, providing delegates with the opportunity to meet the team, explore its solutions first-hand and gain further insight into how its technologies support safety, resilience and performance across the maritime sector.
As SMI’s flagship annual event, the SMI Conference provides a focal point for dialogue between industry, government and the wider maritime community, enabling open discussion on the strategic, technical and regulatory issues influencing the future direction of the UK maritime sector.
Roxtec supports the UK maritime industry through its specialist cable and pipe sealing solutions, designed to enhance safety, operational reliability and asset protection. Its systems are deployed across naval platforms, commercial vessels and offshore installations, helping to safeguard critical infrastructure against fire, water ingress, gas and electromagnetic interference in demanding operating environments.
By working closely with shipbuilders, defence primes and offshore energy stakeholders, Roxtec plays an important role in the delivery of resilient maritime assets and in supporting compliance with stringent regulatory and safety requirements.
Commenting on the announcement, Tom Chant MBE, Chief Executive of the Society of Maritime Industries, said:
“We are very pleased to welcome Roxtec once again as a Bronze Sponsor the SMI Conference and as an exhibitor. Roxtec has been a long-standing supporter of the event, and we are grateful to the Roxtec team for their continued commitment. Their ongoing engagement reflects the importance of collaboration and shared best practice as the sector responds to an increasingly complex operating and regulatory environment.”
Clive Sharp, Managing Director of Roxtec Ltd added:
“The SMI Annual Conference brings together the maritime community to tackle challenges and drive innovation. Roxtec is proud to sponsor, championing collaboration to advance safety, efficiency, and compliance. We look forward to shaping a safer, stronger future together.”
The SMI Conference 2026 will feature a programme of panel discussions, interactive sessions and networking opportunities, offering delegates the chance to connect with peers and explore key developments across the maritime sector.
