Opportunity for UK Businesses to Join The Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC)

The Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC) will be taking place in Karachi on Monday 3^rd to Thursday 6^th November 2025. The Society of Maritime Industries and ADS Group held a joint webinar with the High Commission of Pakistan that took place on Thursday 27^th February 2025. A copy of the recording of this webinar is available (until 27^th May 2025) and can be accessed here. 

The website for PIMEC which provides further details is available at https://pimec.gov.pk/. PIMEC is an initiative of the Pakistan Navy, being organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs in order to jump start development in the maritime sector. The event will also highlight Pakistan’s Maritime potential and provide the desired fillip for economic growth at the national level. At the webinar that we held at the end of February, the organisers, Badar Expo Solutions (www.badarexpo.com) stated that significant discounts, as well as some free space, were available for any UK firms who wanted to participate, provided that they registered their interest by Thursday 15^th May 2025. If there is sufficient interest, a UK National Pavilion might be able to be organized for PIMEC 2025.

We have now been informed by the High Commission of Pakistan in London that it is intended on organizing a further follow-up physical event in London in early-May 2025 (exact date to be confirmed) to enable any potentially interested UK companies to have an opportunity to learn more about what is planned and to pose any questions that they might have to enable to make an informed decision about their participation, before they commit. This timing should then enable those firms who are able to confirm their interest to take advantage of the generous discounts that the organisers have offered to UK participants.
