National Oceanography Centre (NOC) are hiring a Commercial Development Officer

The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) - the UK's centre of excellence for oceanographic sciences have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Development Officer to join the Strategic Business Development team. The SBD team is responsible for the identification and development of commercial offerings utilising NOC capabilities to contribute towards the overall diversification of our income sources. They’re focussed on building strategic relationships and strong commercial revenues streams, typically from sources outside of the traditional research sector.

The Commercial Development Officer will assist with all areas of product/service/project design, preparation and implementation. They will work with teams all across NOC, with the support of others within the SBD team, to help bring commercial offerings to fruition. They will play a hands-on role, getting fully involved with all stages of a product/project’s life cycle. The role will involve a wide variety of responsibilities including proposal generation, market research, technology transfer activities, as well as supporting NOC’s presence at industry events through both planning and attendance. They will also need to support the wider Strategic Business Development team as required on a variety of other activities.
