MOD Market Engagement Event at MOD Abbey Wood 14th June

The Society of Maritime Industries is supporting a Ministry of Defence supplier engagement event to be held at the MOD’s Abbey Wood site on Friday 14 June. The event will offer mid-tier and SME suppliers an opportunity to meet with MOD experts to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing UK defence around key capability areas including munitions and uncrewed systems. This half day event will offer an opportunity for participants to hear directly from Andrew Forzani, the MOD’s Director General Commercial, and participate in several workshop sessions.
The engagement event will also be structured to allow business to business and business to MOD networking, with the aim of understanding more about the current state of the UK market for munitions and uncrewed systems. This is an opportunity for interested suppliers to engage at an early point in the procurement cycle with MOD staff and help influence the department’s thinking in two critical areas of defence procurement activity.
If you are interested in attending what promises to be an extremely interesting event, please complete the linked Expression of Interest form by 10:00 Monday 3rd June. Places are limited so we cannot guarantee a place on this occasion, but this will be the first in a series of such engagements run by MOD so there will be other opportunities for SMI members to get involved
Should you have any questions or comments in the meantime please contact DefComrclSSM-Suppliers(at)mod.gov.uk
