Join the UK-EU Green Skills Workshop for Sustainable Workforce Solutions

The Department of Business and Trade (DBT) has announced an innovative initiative to promote collaboration between UK and EU skills providers, businesses, and advisors. In partnership with UK Skills Partnership, the UK Mission to the EU is hosting a Green Skills Workshop in Brussels on Thursday, 29th February 2024, from 2-7 pm.
This unique workshop addresses the critical need for skilled workers in renewable energy sectors and sustainable construction to achieve the shared net zero targets of the UK and the EU. Both regions recognise the shortage of workers with specific skill sets required for implementing net zero technologies.
The event features an insightful agenda, including an opening plenary with a keynote speech from Dr El Iza Mohamedou, Head of the OECD Centre for Skills. Break-out discussions will focus on designing skills programs tailored to the needs of the green economy and strategies to increase participation in skills programs for green jobs.
The workshop offers a networking opportunity, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing and cooperation. Organisations such as Ceemet, EURLALL, European Builders Confederation, SME United, Wind Europe, SolarPower Europe, National Grid, and many more have already registered.
To secure your place, register before 19th February here.
Please refer to the registration form for additional information, including event details and terms and conditions.
