Help inspire Future Maritime Engineers with the Wellington Trust

The Wellington Trust successfully ran an innovative pilot project called Future Maritime Engineers in 2022. We are pleased to announce that we have obtained funding to run FME again in 2024. This time, we will be hosting 21 young people aged 17, along with 3 careers leaders from London Design and Engineering UTC across two phases of FME.
Phase 1 is an opportunity for businesses to connect with young people who have an interest in electrical and electronic engineering. Our aim is to broaden their horizons and create inspiration by showcasing the opportunities for training and employment within the maritime/marine sector.
We are currently seeking business partners for Phase 1 of FME, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 13th, 2024. We simply request that a representative/s from interested companies create a stand and talk with the young people and careers leaders about their business and the available opportunities
The event will be held onboard our ship, Wellington, which is located at Temple Stairs, London, WC2R 2PN. A rough outline of the day is provided below. A sandwich lunch will be provided.
If you are interested in participating or need further information, please email Rebecca Swan to discuss.
