Griffon Marine Announces Two Key Senior Appointments Following a Record-Breaking 2025

Griffon Marine Ltd has announced two significant promotions to strengthen its senior management team, following a highly successful 2025 marked by award wins, major contract successes, business expansion, and a full company rebranding.
Dan Pountney Appointed Commercial Director
Dan Pountney has been promoted to the newly created role of Commercial Director. Dan brings nearly three decades of experience within Griffon Marine and its associated companies, having most recently served as Head of Support.
Dan began his career as a front-line service engineer with Hovertravel in 1999 after graduating from the University of Portsmouth with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Engineering and Business Management. He subsequently joined Hoverwork Limited in 2002 as a Senior Support Engineer, working with overseas customers and contributing to the design of the BHT range of hovercraft.
Joining Griffon Hoverwork in 2011 as Technical Support Manager, Dan became Head of Technical Support in 2014, supporting customers across 45 countries who operate more than 190 Griffon vessels and providing bespoke through-life support packages.
On the appointment Dan Pountney said:
“I am thrilled to take on the role of Commercial Director,”
“Griffon Marine had an outstanding 2025, with record contract wins, award recognition, and an exciting business expansion alongside a full rebranding. In this new role, I look forward to building on that momentum and driving our commercial strategy to deliver even greater value for our customers worldwide.”
Andy Weaver Promoted to Head of Support
