SMI would like to make you aware of the Future of Transport Regulatory Review Consultation which opened on 28 September and in particular the Maritime Autonomy and Remote Operations section.
This is considering the regulatory changes that may be necessary to support a regulatory framework to continue the development and operation of remotely operated and autonomous vessels in the UK. You can see the full press notice and submit your response via the online surveys here.
Responding to the online survey
By using the online surveys, you can save and edit your responses until you submit by 22 November 2021 when the consultation closes. You are welcome to provide feedback on as many questions as you would like or relevant to your areas of interest and expertise.
