The rise of cyber crime during Covid has been well reported with some elements like low-skilled hacker activity rates rising by 3,000%. Like all member companies SMI has a regular inbox full of phishing emails offering us marketing data and attendance lists for shows. Please be assured that SMI is never going to sell your data and if you see offers purporting to come from SMI and you’re suspicious please just ask one of the team.
The SMI Team has recently all completed a Cyber Awareness training course delivered through Templar Executives e-learning platform. I would urge all member companies to upskill their staff with this type of course as people are the weak link when it comes to breaches. I know Templar Executives will offer preferential rates to fellow SMI members. We would be very happy to put you in touch with these cyber security experts.
