BMT consolidates Houston office to support Digital Energy transition
BMT is pleased to announce its consolidated ‘Digital Energy Tech’ presence in the Americas with the Houston hub being the focus of the Consultancy’s continuing commitment to the sector. From this regional hub BMT will continue to serve its clients with whom the Consultancy has over 25 years of working experience whilst the innovative solutions BMT is bringing to the energy sector in arenas like digitalization, machine learning and monitoring are providing entry points for new clients and tangible benefits to the asset sustainment work of our existing clients.
The BMT announcement marks its first-ever national consolidation to Houston in March 2021, with the intention of broadening its impact and accelerating the digital energy transition through entrepreneurship, innovation and collaboration. Through this regional office consolidation, BMT Houston has transformed the engagement experience of its global customers, partners and people together by expediting digitalisation and cloud transformation initiatives, accelerating data connectivity and capacity reach across US, Europe Asia and Australasia. The focus on this facility in Houston is in line with the Consultancy’s vision to become a digital data and energy hub for the region, addressing the diverse requirements of energy companies that are seeking to achieve value from digital technologies.
President of BMT Americas Neil Charles said:
“In order to meet the seismic industry shifts toward decarbonization and climate change, we must engage the talent and assets of major ecosystems around the country. We look forward to catalysing the Houston ecosystem's support for climatetech startups and tech companies as we work together toward a sustainable future for all."
“As we partner and collaborate with our colleagues across the globe BMT will continue to bring innovative solutions that impact our clients and provide exciting opportunities for our people. The continued success of BMT will be driven by the excellent people within our team and their drive to succeed.” Added Charles. “And, despite the challenges of the last 12 months on the global market BMT is driving forwards with exciting developments. We have bolstered our team with key recruitment and are looking forward to presenting new innovations to the market in the coming months.”
“During this unprecedented period that has challenged both health and economy, global markets are looking at enhancing interconnectivity and adding new capacities for businesses and the entire community. As one of the leading ‘tech’ management consultants in the world, BMT’s repositioned office in Houston will be a bridge between continents, always supporting business critical activities of its global consulting customers.”
In consolidating its presence in Houston, BMT will serve as an ‘on-the-ground catalyst’ for the energy transition in the city—aiming to bring together civic and business leaders, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders who have already begun the transition and raise awareness of the opportunity for those who have yet to engage.
BMT is working closely with the City of Houston to support the goals outlined in its first-ever Climate Action Plan, which includes a commitment of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. In addition the Consultancy is supporting emerging industry and the municipality’s positioning as an innovation and Cleantech leader.
