Aquatec Wins Best Small Company Award
Through-water communication and subsea integrity specialist Aquatec has won Global Underwater Hub’s coveted Global Business Award 2022 and is now the Best Small Company of the year.
Aquatec has taken the Best Small Company award home to Basingstoke after receiving the accolade at the awards ceremony, organised by the Global Underwater Hub on February 23, 2022, at P&J Live in Aberdeen.
The Subsea Expo Awards, which celebrate the companies and individuals leading the way in the UK’s £8billion underwater industry, have already recognised Aquatec in 2020 by shortlisting one of its lead engineers in the Emerging Young Talent category.
This year, Aquatec has been judged for its excellence in overall company performance within the subsea sector. Key aspects include commercial execution, business plan, products and services, long-term vision and strategy, strong leadership culture, commitment to its supply chain, well-established health, safety and environmental policies, and general market perception.
Andy Smerdon, CEO of Aquatec, received the award shortly after making a live presentation on the company’s latest technological innovation, the KINEKtron® Subsea Strain Monitoring Clamp at Subsea Expo’s Subsea Integrity Session. In his acceptance speech, the winner acknowledged runner-up companies, thanked Aquatec’s customers, and praised his team of specialised professionals.
