WWG Summer Seminar 2023
SMI is pleased to announce details of the Workboat Working Group (WWG) Summer Seminar. Drawing from our online sessions and progress across the 12 WWG workstreams, this seminar will focus on developing growth and prospects within the UK Supply Chain for the design, build and upgrade of workboat and coastal vessels. Chaired by Noel Tomlinson, WWG lead, supported by SMI Director, Helen Stephen and delivered by experts from industry and government, the seminar will cover key themes such as:
- The energy transition and decarbonisation landscape
- Cutting edge technologies, infrastructure advancements and supply chain alignment
- The Offshore Wind opportunity
Date and timing:
30th August 2023, 9.30am – 5.00pm, light lunch and tea & coffee breaks, followed by networking and evening dinner.
Venue:
National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, Boardroom, in-person only.

Registration is open to SMI WWG and wider SMI CMG members, plus invited owner/operators and representatives from the DfT, MCA, DBT, NSO. Please register using the link or the form below.
Cost:
A small fee to cover lunch £25. The networking dinner and drinks (venue to be confirmed) will be charged separately on a cost-shared basis.
