UK Pavilion at Marintec China 2023
INTRODUCTION
Marintec China is one of the largest maritime exhibitions and conferences in Asia. Marintec China reflects the size and importance of the Asian maritime market - especially the strength of the Chinese shipyards -through its focus on shipbuilding, offshore engineering, marine equipment, and technology.
In addition to the exhibition, Marintec China also hosts a conference program that covering a diverse range of topics to promote industry collaboration, facilitate business partnerships, and foster knowledge exchange among industry professionals.
With the maritime industry facing great opportunities, it is important for the industry to connect and engage to ultimately win new business in globally-significant markets. Exhibiting at Marintec China is a great way to learn about the latest technology and innovation of the supply industry, a platform for industry professionals to meet face to face, make connections and do business. It is undoubtedly a must-attend event for all involved in the maritime industry wishing to do business in China.
THE UK GROUP AT MARINTEC CHINA 2023
The Society of Maritime Industries is organising and managing the UK group of exhibitors in a dedicated UK group pavilion. Companies are invited to take up the UK group pavilion package by exhibiting in the enhanced modular stand under the unique UK pavilion livery.
THE ADVANTAGES OF JOINING THE UK GROUP ARE:
- SMI, as the group organiser, deals directly with the Marintec exhibition organisers, co-ordinates payments, appoints agents and stand contractors, briefs the exhibitors, etc.
- SMI has secured a prime location in the exhibition hall for the UK Group exhibitors on self-build stands and an enhanced shell-scheme stands from 10.5 sqm in the UK Pavilion. This means higher footfall to your stand than if you were exhibiting individually.
- Participants exhibit as a co-located Group in the UK pavilion with strong visual UK ‘GREAT’ branding which attracts visitors and international delegations.
- A British Embassy Networking Reception should take place as usual and Exhibitors, their clients and potential clients will be invited
- Social media (LinkedIn/Twitter) promotion of the pavilion.
- Branding to highlight the UK Pavilion.
- A programme, managed by the UK Group staff, ensures that visiting delegations are routinely brought to all UK Group exhibitors.
- Interaction with the DIT MCCO team to maximise introductions and contacts at the event.
FLOORPLAN

STANDS
We have chosen a bespoke design for the UK Pavilion. There are different sizes of stands available from 10.5sqm. Booking quickly is of prime importance as space allocation cannot be increased once the show is sold out.
We need a minimum of 5 companies to commit to this pavilion offer. If we do not recruit enough companies we will connect you with the event organisers’ UK sales team.
THE PACKAGE
Each stand comes with
- Front counter with company logo, Round table & 4 chairs, 1 x bar stool, 1 x brochure rack, Spotlights, Carpet, Fascia name
Other items – such as plinths, display cabinets, extra shelves and furniture – can be supplied by the standbuilder at cost. Your Stand Graphics can be printed and mounted by the standbuilder, SMI can provide outline costs and co-ordinate with the standbuilder.
COST OF PARTICIPATING
A Stand in UK pavilion (£795 per sqm). Please enquire if larger stand size prices are required:
- 10.5sqm stand = £8,347.50
- 14sqm = £11,130.00
- 17.5sqm = £13,912.50
- 21sqm = £16,695.00
Plus the SMI Management Fee for UK Group exhibitors in UK pavilion:
- Member rate - £885.00 ex UK VAT (£1,062.00 inc VAT)
- Non-Member rate - £995.00 ex UK VAT (£1,194.00 inc VAT)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All relevant costs have been calculated using current exchange rates at time of issue, we reserve the right to adjust the charges in the event of any significant change.
The SMI Management fee covers the costs of all aspects of securing government funding, pre-event preparations, recruitment and administration prior to, during and after the event. In all cases, the Management Fee is non-refundable and cannot be included in your claim.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT
The provision of space, arrangements for design and construction of the UK stands/showcase and the administration of the UK Group, including additional charges, are covered in the attached Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions together with this “Offer” and the Rules and Regulations issued by the exhibition organiser are deemed to be incorporated in and form part of this contract. Details given are subject to any changes with particular regard to the exhibition organiser’s charges, government legislation, etc.
LIABILITY
No liability shall be attached to the Society of Maritime Industries or any of its constituent trade associations or groups or any member of its staff in respect of any accident, injury, loss or damage arising out of, or in any way connected with, the display of goods in pursuance of this event or in any other way whatsoever.
