Sea Japan International Maritime Conference
Japan is consistently placed in the top 3 of the world shipbuilding tables by any measure. They build technologically advanced ships which is an ideal target for the UK’s supply chain.
Sea Japan is the premier maritime exhibition and conference in Japan. Over the past several years, Japanese ship owners and ship builders have ridden out a ‘perfect storm’ caused by a strong yen, intense international competition and unfavourable economic conditions. The result is that they are now leaner, fitter and stronger than ever before.
In 2018 the exhibition housed 580 exhibitors and attracted more than 20,000 visitors. In 2022 Sea Japan will focus on the dual themes of “Zero” - as the industry moves from reduced emissions to zero emissions and “DX” as the industry takes advantage of the new opportunities and possibilities of digital transformation technologies.
The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) is the organiser for the UK Pavilion Group. Companies are hereby invited to join us by completing the booking form to secure your space, build and furniture package in the UK Pavilion.
