POSIDONIA 2026
Posidonia - taking place at the Metropolitan Expo, Athens - unites the global shipping industry under one roof. The 2026 edition, held in Athens, aims to further cement its reputation as the must-attend event for maritime professionals worldwide. In 2024, the exhibition hosted 2,038 exhibitors from 138 countries and welcomed 32,527 visitors, with total attendance reaching 41,838 - reinforcing its status as a premier event on the international maritime calendar.
Greece continues to lead global shipping and is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading shipowning nations. As of 2024, Greek shipowners control 21% of the global tonnage, operating a fleet of 5,543 vessels. Greece remains the world’s largest shipping nation and commands approximately 70% of the European Union’s fleet of strategically vital ships.
This represents a multi-billion-pound opportunity across marine services, equipment, and technologies, especially for suppliers and service providers specialising in energy efficiency, decarbonisation, compliance, and performance optimisation. Greek shipowners and their international counterparts are actively investing in innovation and operational excellence.
Posidonia 2026 offers unmatched access to this influential community. Renowned for attracting shipowners, fleet managers, and technical decision-makers, it is a hub where solutions are explored and business is done. No other maritime exhibition brings together so many Greek and international shipping leaders in one place.
If your business seeks to engage with the world’s most powerful shipping market, Posidonia 2026 is the place to be.
