Futures Afloat Industry Engagement Event
The Society Maritime of Industries (SMI) is delighted to be collaborating with Trinity House on an industry engagement event for the Futures Afloat project on the morning of 30th July 2024 from 10am to 1.30pm.
The event, which is open to both SMI members and non-members will seek to inform and connect with industry, outlining the plans for the replacement of Trinity House’s ageing multifunctional buoy handling tenders (MFTs) THV Patricia and THV Galatea.

The purpose of the event is to inform attendees about the bid process, along with desired vessel characteristics and other key criteria including social value whilst providing the opportunity for networking.
