ExpoNaval 2022
UK Defence & Security Exports (UK DSE) is organising the UK Pavilion at the forthcoming ExpoNaval at the Passenger Terminal, Port of Valparaiso, 29 November – 02 December 2022.
ExpoNaval 2022, is organized by FISA, of the GL events Group. This international exhibition has been held every two years since 1998 and has become the most important event of its kind in the region, serving as a meeting point between the Latin American and Asia Pacific Navies and exhibitors of the global defence industry, shipyards, maritime technology, security, telecommunications industries, among others.
UK DSE is offering the opportunity to UK industry to exhibit at the show on the UK Government branded pavilion.
Regional aspects
Countries across the region have programmes of record to modernize their naval forces, primarily through build under licence agreements, for Frigates and OPV’s, between local shipyard’s (e.g., ASMAR SIMA, COTECMAR), and an overseas partner. There are also ongoing mid-life upgrade programmes and aspirations to acquire surplus vessels.
The UK has a strong track record of supplying to the LATAM region. We also benefit from the historical relationship with The Royal Navy.
MOD attendance is to be confirmed but we expect a strong attendance in support.
For the first time since 2018 ExpoNaval offers a platform to showcase the breadth and strength of the UK’s capability offering across all domains and to identify and promote strategic industrial partnerships, innovation, and collaboration.
