Posidonia - The International Shipping Exhibition
INTRODUCTION
Posidonia brings the whole shipping world to its exhibitors. The international shipping community attends in strength with national pavilions and thousands of visitors. But Posidonia is also home to the owners of the world’s largest merchant fleet. Greece, a top ship- owning nation, operating 20% of global and 50% of European capacity, represents a multi-billion dollar opportunity for shipbuilders and for suppliers of marine equipment, information technology and the whole spectrum of marine services. While the top ten largest fleets in the world recently lost value, the upgrading of the Greek fleet has kept its worth above $100bn. At the same time Greek owners have been ordering new vessels in the shipyards of Japan, China and South Korea. Oil tankers and LNG and LPG carriers are all under construction, along with dry bulk carriers and container ships.
Posidonia takes its exhibitors to the heart of this community with exclusive access to owners and management keen to engage with suppliers and services for their shipping operations and fleet renewal. Technical and operations executives from all over the world will be keen to engage with exhibitors – not only to discuss solutions but to make decisions. Posidonia is known for the business done in its exhibition halls. No other shipping event is attended by as many Greek and international shipowners and shipping executives.

THE UK GROUP AT POSIDONIA 2022
The Society of Maritime Industries (SMI) is the group organiser for the UK Group. Companies are hereby invited to join the UK Group.
The advantages of joining the UK Group are:
• SMI as the group organiser, deals directly with the Posidonia 2022 exhibition organisers, co-ordinates payments, appoints agents and stand contractors, briefs the exhibitors, etc.
• Participants exhibit as a co-located Group in the UK pavilion with strong visual UK branding which attracts visitors and international delegations.
• A business lounge exclusive to the UK Group will be provided and a prime location within the exhibition hall for the UK Group has already been reserved.
• A British Embassy Networking Reception should take place as usual and Exhibitors and their clients and potential clients will be invited.
STAND
We have chosen a bespoke design and construction company for the UK Pavilion. The open stand design used for UK Pavilions during 2019 was very popular with the exhibitors as it encourages better flow of visitors between stands and increased visibility from all directions.
THE PACKAGE
Each stand will be carpeted, fitted with lighting (up to 3 lights), power socket, wall display panels, fascia board, chairs, table, counter. Other items – such as plinths, display cabinets, extra shelves and furniture – can be supplied by the standbuilder at cost. Your Stand Graphics can be printed and mounted by the standbuilder for approx. €35-45 per square metre.
COST OF PARTICIPATING
Stand in UK pavilion (minimum 9 sqm) including furniture, carpets and lights @ £582 per sqm:
• 9sqm stand = £5,238
• 10.5sqm stand = £6,111
• 14sqm stand = £8,148
SMI Management Fee for UK Group exhibitors in UK pavilion:
• SMI Members £675 (£810 inc VAT)
• Non-Members £855 (1,026 inc VAT)
