In the UK we have equipment on all current and in-build warships and submarines.
We are a leader in Shipborne Helicopter Starting Systems and are under contract in the UK for the Type 26 GCS , the Type 31 Frigate and hold the In-Service Support contract for AGSS & ACES (Ground Power) with DE&S. AGSS is the Aircraft Ground Service (Power) System applicable to all surface ships except the Queen Elizabeth Class and ACES is the Aircraft Connected Electrical Supplies for the Queen Elizabeth Class.
In Australia we have recently been contracted by BAE Systems Australia for the Aircraft Ground Servicing System on the Hunter Class Frigate Program.
To complement our engineering capability, Whippendell have an advanced manufacturing facility, with a team of engineers experienced in both mechanical and electrical assembly techniques. Our electrical engineers work in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620. Finished products are fully tested and inspected to DEF STAN 02-511 issue 1. Within Whippendell we have a number of staff that work off site and often carry out installation and integration activities.
