Description:

Malin Group represents a collection of companies under common ownership that offer a diverse  and  comprehensive  set of  services  to their  clients.  The  in-house  team  of naval architects, structural engineers, marine engineers, draughtsmen, master mariners and project managers  have experience in the shipbuilding, heavy lift, renewables, nuclear, oil & gas and marine sectors.

Within Malin Group there are five companies:

• Malin Marine Consultants
• Malin Augustea

Malin Augustea is a joint venture with Augustea, which brings the CD01, a 137m barge to Scotland, a domestic capability not seen in decades - and one of the largest barges in Europe. Due to its highly versatile design, it can be used for both deep sea transport of large vessels and cargo, but also offers exciting new docking capabilities to the local area.

The Group also have an ambitious vision to create the Scottish Marine Technology Park (SMTP), which will bring together world-leading innovators in the marine industry to collaborate and further marine manufacturing in the UK. This space will also enable scope for research and development, from allied organisations and universities alike, which may push forward the sustainability agenda for the industry. Once complete, the park will include space for several large fabrication facilities as well as opportunities for the supply chain these require, and a deep-water jetty with a 1,100-tonne ship hoist – the largest of its kind in Europe.
