Company Information
Summary:
Datum Electronics is a specialist designer and manufacturer of torque, shaft power, strain, and thrust measurement systems, working with clients and partners to design, build, and deliver measurement solutions for demanding maritime applications.
For over 35 years, Datum Electronics has specialised in the measurement of torque, strain, power, and thrust in rotating machinery and marine propulsion systems.
We work closely with customers to understand each application before specifying standard, modified, or fully custom measurement systems to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
Our systems are deployed across commercial shipping, fishing vessels, transport, R&D, and naval defence programmes. Our sensors play a key role in supporting temporary measurement for research and verification, and fixed installations for permanent monitoring, predictive maintenance, and fleet optimisation.
