Marine Data Systems Ltd was established in 1978 and operates from the Vittlefields Technology Centre based in Newport, Isle of Wight, UK. The company occupies some 2,500 square feet of manufacturing/production assembly and environmental test areas. Our expert design and engineering team can always provide innovative solutions to complex marine navigation system requirements. Our equipment is fitted in the military naval ships of NATO, the Gulf States and the Far East. We work together with other defence agencies and prime contractors for seamless production integration of new builds and retrofit projects. Products and Technology
Compass Repeaters – a series of rugged marinised products with conventional dual scale, tape, LED and touch screen LCD displays to cater for a large range of applications. All of the repeaters accept NEMA 0183 heading inputs and are independently tested to IEC60945:2002.
Sensors & Processors – the range includes magnetic compass sensor and interface including an electromagnetic compass.
Interfaces – to support the wide range of existing equipment a variety of products are available including variation & deviation corrector, synchro to synchro amplifiers, NEMA to synchro interfaces.
Ancillaries – include digital rudder position sensors and indicators, heading monitors and power supplies.
Accessories – precision azimuth reading device, signal junction boxes
Transmitting Magnetic Compass and Electromagnetic Compass Systems – are available, both are independently tested to IEC60945:2002
