Video Submission Guideline

If you are interested in participating in the MAChallenge, please Register your interest as soon as possible. Make sure to read through the Competition rules which includes details of team eligibility. Should you have any further questions please visit the FAQs page.

To be considered for selection to compete in the residential event you will need to submit a three-minute video pitch, addressing the items below:

  • Introduce yourself and your team.
  • Outline your experience in this field.
  • Describe relevant projects that you have worked on.
  • Explain what you think the key technical challenges will be and how you will overcome them.
  • Describe the role you see for autonomous systems in dealing with the issue of ocean plastics.
  • Explain what you would spend the prize money on.
  • The video will be judged on content not quality of presentation, therefore please do not spend time on finessing the production!

Beware - The judging panel will only watch 3 minutes of your video entry!

Submission Instructions:

  • Once your video is completed, upload it to Dropbox (please name the video after the team leader and university)
  • If you don't already have a Dropbox account you may have to create one (it is free to do)
  • Once uploaded onto Dropbox share with
  • Deadline to upload is 12noon on the 17th January 2020.
