Record breaking year for the Society at APM Singapore!

From 19–21 March up to 20 British marine equipment firms exhibited at the UK Pavilion of APM Singapore.

This was the largest number of firms attending over the past 14 years and was the biggest numbers of exhibitors and visitors ever recorded particularly prominent was the largest Pavilion of Chinese Shipyards from all parts of the mainland. So far the initial reports from the UK Exhibitors have been good with a number already been ask to quote business and others instructing new agents.

The Head of Procurement from Sembawang Shipyard Singapore met a number of the firms and is keen to buy British.

There was a good response to the midday seminar on thursday 20 March 2014 entitled “Cost Savings by Utilizing High Tech and Innovative British Marine Equipment Technology and Services.“ This was followed by a luncheon and networking reception in the Blue Lounge co-sponsored by UKTI. UP to 50 guests took part including Shipyards, Owners, Offshore Operators and Shipmanagers.

John Southerden, Director of BMEA at the Society of Maritime Industries said, 

"This year the Society led the largest group of UK exhibitors in our history of attending the show and it really demonstrates how important APM Singapore is in the maritime community event calendar."


Sea Japan, Tokyo, is fully booked and takes place 9-11 April 

PosidoniaAthens, is virtually full save for an excellent but small booth and takes place 2-6 June.  Book now to secure it !

SMM, Hamburg, takes place 9-12 September and the UK Pavilion is now fully booked!

SMEM, Dubai, takes place 28-30 October and the UK Pavilion is growing in size very quickly due to heavy demand for space and UKTI new to event grants of £3000. So book now to avoid disappointment!
