WFW expands NYC corporate and securities practice with new Partner hire

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) is delighted to announce that maritime corporate and securities professional Will Vogel has joined the firm as a Partner in New York City. Prior to joining WFW, he was an Associate at Seward & Kissel LLP in their New York office.

Will has a decade’s experience representing leading public companies in the maritime sector on all their US corporate and securities matters and has advised on a broad range of significant capital markets transactions, including IPOs and follow-on public offerings, private placements and 144A/Regulation S offerings of equity and debt securities. He also assists domestic and foreign US-listed clients in their ongoing compliance with SEC reporting, proxy statement disclosure and stock exchange requirements.

Will routinely advises on M&A transactions, asset acquisitions, tender offers, private equity investments, and a wide variety of complex corporate governance and US securities law matters critical to the growth of both public and private companies.

WFW New York Head Daniel Rodgers comments:

“Will is the ideal new addition to our New York maritime team, greatly strengthening our corporate, securities and M&A offering in that sector. I’m very pleased to welcome him to the firm.”

New York Corporate Partner Steven Hollander added:

“We’re delighted that Will has joined our corporate and securities group here in New York and look forward to working closely with him going forward. We’re already advising clients in the maritime sector on transactions of this nature spanning US federal, New York state, securities, Marshall Islands and Liberian law, but having a talented new Partner active in the space allows us to further position ourselves as a “go to” firm for such work in the US, especially with shipowners we already service in the finance space.”

Will said:

“WFW’s unrivaled international maritime expertise and deep penetration into shipping markets worldwide make it the ideal fit for my client base and experience. Joining WFW’s partnership represents a unique opportunity to help rapidly build up its corporate and securities practice alongside Steve and all my other exceptionally accomplished new colleagues.”
