Somers Forge Named Company of The Year

Somers Forge win big at the Confederation of British Metalforming, winning “Company of the Year”.

The forging powerhouse with over 150 year’s experience was celebrating after winning CBM first ever Company of The Year Award, after beating tough competition from Total, to take home the biggest prize of the night.

Following on from the recent rebrand and successful marketing plan, Somers Forge who were previously referred to as the Midlands best kept secret showed excellency within the metal forming industry.

Steve Morely, CBM President and judge commented: 

“Somers have an incredible history and a stronger future, offering a complete forging solution. The company has invested over £2 million pounds which has enabled new services to be launched, whilst continuing to reduce the energy and carbon emissions”.

CBM has over 230 members, the awards ceremony was held in Derby earlier this month and was a huge success.
