Babcock's Jangbogo III team wins top gong at prestigious APM Awards

Topping off an extremely successful year for its innovative global teams, Babcock, the highly-skilled engineering services company, is celebrating winning top prize in the Overseas Project of the Year category at the Association of Project Management (APM) Awards 2017.

Solidifying their reputation as trusted to deliver for commercial and defence customers alike, this accolade is recognition of Babcock’s continued efforts to provide unrivalled solutions.

Reflecting on the success, Jeff Lewis, Managing Director at Babcock Defence Systems Technology, congratulated the team saying:

Babcock currently has contracts to design, supply and deliver weapons handling and launch equipment for three boat sets of equipment as part of the South Korean Jangbogo III submarine programme. The contracts will be delivered by a global supply chain from the UK, Spain and South Korea.

Set up to honour the best in class within the project management profession, the APM became a Chartered body in 2017 signifying the importance of the awards within the industry. The awards recognise a wealth of UK and international project and people, and this year, offered an even broader category to reflect the achievements across numerous diverse sectors.
