Within the maritime engineering industries there is deep and abiding interest in new build and new project activity. Everyone wants to be specified on the next multiple ship order, but what makes those projects turn from spreadsheet lists and calculations to shipyard reality? Join us and discover how ship finance works.
Explanations will start gently and move into more detail covering the structure of a typical ship finance project and some points to consider in connection with finance, such as:
- Terms of payment between the ship owner and the supplier
- Transfer of ownership of equipment
- Flagging and corporate structure considerations
- Sanctions considerations
Marie-Anne Moussalli, a Legal Director in the Transactional Shipping Team at Clyde & Co, works primarily with ship owners, ship operators and private equity companies to facilitate their plans and ambitions.
Come and learn about this fascinating aspect of the maritime industry.
