Tariffs & trade turmoil; box shipping in losses; dry bulk rates a disappointment; tanker rates at rock bottom. Is it all doom and gloom? Ship owners are still building ships while world trade volumes are increasingly subject to significant risks. What is going on? Rates are low and there are more ships trading than ever before. What are the implications for safety and the impact on ships’ crews?  Come to the seminar and find out!

SPEAKERS AND PRESENTATIONS:

  1. “Shipping Confidence - A Current Perspective”: Richard Greiner, Partner, Moore Stephens LLP, will present the trends revealed by Moore Stephens’ annual survey of Shipping Confidence.
  2. “The Shipping Markets – Review & Outlook”: Trevor Crowe, Director of Clarksons Research, and Alexa Parker, Shipping and Trade Analyst, look at the trends and market drivers in the major shipping sectors.
