Come and learn about the work of the Space Catapult.  They help organisations make use of, and benefit from, satellite technologies.  They are the glue that connects the MST sector to end users. With the growing use of satellite technology it is important to come and learn about its potential.

The presentation, led by Professor Nicholas Veck, will include:

  • A range of satellite service used by maritime community  – remote sensing including weather; global communications; position navigation and timing
  • New technologies and applications relevant to the maritime sector (cost effective small satellites, video from space, improved tracking etc)
  • Cross industry initiatives – knowledge transfer from other industry sectors
  • R&D funding sources
