Alphatracka II transmissometer   ALPHAtracka II uses identical electronic circuitry to that in our well received Mark I version but it is now implemented with surface-mount technology; this has enabled a much smaller diameter pressure housing to be used while retaining exactly the same optical train. Data from the Mark II version is thus fully compatible with that already obtained with the Mark I. ALPHAtracka II is available with optical path lengths of 5, 10 and 25cm, so that optimum results can be obtained in waters with widely differing amounts of absorption, whether caused by solutes or by suspended solids
AquaLine FerryBox System   AquaLine FerryBox is a generic, robust and secure environmental monitoring system for ships of opportunity such as ferries, cargo vessels, vocational cruise liners as well as inland waterway vessels. It provides information, on real time on the environmental state of the surface waters through which the vessel passes
AquaShuttle - Towed Oceanographic Vehicle   The AQUAshuttle Mark III is a stable, highly robust, versatile undulating towed vehicle for deploying a wide range of oceanographic monitoring equipment. Designed and developed by Chelsea Technologies Group and the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, UK, it has a proven record of reliability over many thousands of miles of operation.
Autonomous Plankton Sampler   The Autonomous Plankton Sampler is the result of a collaborative venture between the Centre for Coastal Marine Science & Chelsea Technologies Group to design and develop a new versatile, low-cost plankton sampler mechanism. The Autonomous Plankton Sampler is ideally suited to deployment from CTG's range of towed oceanographic vehicles as well as ship-borne & mooring pumped systems. The Plankton Sampler provides a modern replacement for traditional sampling mechanisms such as that used in the Continuous Plankton Recorder (CPR) programme of the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science (SAHFOS).
Continuous Plankton Recorder Vehicle   The CPR Towed Body has an extremely robust construction and its proven design allows deployment at speed (15 to 20 knots) from ships of opportunity where it can be left unattended and recovered prior to entering port. The CPR Body is towed with a 10mm diameter wire rope at a fixed depth of typically 10 metres. Data gathered with the CPR Towed Body is compatible with the long time series survey conducted at the Sir Alister Hardy Foundation for Ocean Science (SAHFOS).
ERAS Echo Repeater Acoustic system   The Echo Repeater Acoustic System (ERAS) is a compact and versatile system for the performance evaluation of a wide range of active and passive sonar. ERAS has been designed to be hand-deployed from small vessels with few facilities - the transducer assembly is a small lightweight unit containing both projector and hydrophone. At the surface, the system includes a rugged, portable, power amplifier unit and a controlling computer.
Fastracka II   CTG’s FASTtracka II sensor is a high performance, Fast Repetition Rate Fluorimeter (FRRF), which is suitable for use in a wide range of applications; from the assessment of primary production within the worlds oceans to environmental monitoring within reservoirs and rivers. The FASTtracka II sensor incorporates significant improvements over the already successful Mk I unit in every area. Performance enhancements include a much higher photon irradiance (PI), more even illumination of the sample, substantially improved signal collection optics and greatly enhanced programmability.
Glowtracka   GLOWtracka’s precision flow meter stimulates bioluminescent organisms – principally dinoflagellates. The instrument then measures the light flashes as the organisms pass the detector. The complete range of flashes that can occur – from single events to mesoscale – is measured. The measurements indicate changes in primary productivity in an area, giving the instrument a useful role in pollution monitoring and biomass studies. Since the abundance of individual bioluminescent species can be studied, it is often an indication of toxic algal blooms. GLOWtracka is designed to be moored, profiled (with pumped systems) or deployed in towed vehicles.
MiniPack CTD-Fluorimeter   MINIpack is a low cost, compact, robust and fully integrated CTD-F sensor suite designed to meet the demands of open ocean, estuarine and fresh water environmental monitoring, incorporating a 24 channel data logger. MINIpack is designed to be a multi-parameter sensor data logger that can be deployed individually or as the core of a larger multi-parameter system. As such, it may be used as a discrete profiling instrument, installed on a data buoy, moored in the ocean or to form the core of a towed undulating vehicle system. It has been designed specifically for easy installation into the Chelsea Technologies Group range of towed vehicles.
TriLux - new miniature in situ fluorimeter   The TriLux is an innovative series of new low cost digital in-situ fluorimeters, which offer the user significantly increased functionality to existing in-situ fluorimeter designs. These fluorimeters are offered with the option of monitoring up to three different fluorescent parameters within a single probe.
UV Aquatracka   The UV AQUAtracka is a submersible fluorimeter to monitor the concentration of hydrocarbons (360nm) or Gelbstoff (440nm) in a wide range of oceanographic applications. In support of this, it has been designed to be deployed from undulating vehicles, moored or profiling systems. This robust, compact, lightweight instrument has built in test (BITE) circuitry which ensures high stability. The instrument is easy to use and gives accurate and repeatable measurements.
UV Minitracka - in situ hydrocarbon detection   The UV MINItracka is a submersible fluorimeter to monitor the concentration of hydrocarbons (360nm) or Gelbstoff (440nm) in a wide range of oceanographic applications. In support of this, it has been designed to be deployed from submersible vehicles, moored or profiling systems. This robust, compact, lightweight instrument provides significant improvements in power consumption over its predecessor, the UV AQUAtracka. The instrument is easy to use and gives accurate and repeatable measurements.

CTD & Multi-parameter instruments   Self-contained Multi-parameter data loggers for CTD (Conductivity, temperature & Depth)and other aspects of water. Choice of integrated sensors for Turbidity, Fluorescence, Transmittance, PAR, pH, Dissolved Oxygen. Small and easy to handle, <475 x 64mm and weighing from as little as 390g in water. Depth rating to 6600m (for Titanium case - dependant on sensors).
MicroSalinometer   The RBR MS-310 is a small, portable instrument for measurement of conductivity (and therefore Salinity) in the laboratory, in the field or on board ship. It gives a simple and comparatively low cost method of verifying CTD measurements without the need for large expensive equipment and a temperature controlled environment.
Tide & Wave Gauges   Self recording or real time monitoring of sea state conditions is achievable using RBR's pressure sensor based technology. Instruments are available that can be submersed or fitted to fixed structures above the surface - making them ideal for ports & harbours. Atmospheric compensation and other options such as external power and telemetry are available on request. Also within the range is a low cost laboratory instrument (WG-50) that uses a capacitive wand.
Twin Channel Data loggers   Single and dual channel submersible data loggers for extreme precision. Only 230mmx38mm and weighting as little as 30g in water (310g in air, combinations of parameters are available as follows: Depth only, Temp & depth, Dissolved Oxygen and Temperature & Dissolved Oxygen.
