Advice and assistance
A commercial and technical support service is provided to members for the promotion of new systems, development of niche markets and sourcing of related financial support, including international agency and European Commission funding. Marketing training is provided through seminars and workshops.

Representing Views and Interests
The Society canvasses the views of individual companies to co-ordinate industry-wide responses providing an orchestrated approach to Government. This type of approach - by the recognised Trade Association for the sector - carries more weight than individual approaches, and the voicing on concerns at ministerial and other Government levels is seen as particularly helpful by smaller companies.

Networking
Members can participate in the online forums to discuss issues with industry colleagues. Participation in Society events provides numerous opportunities to make business contacts.

Join Us
Our membership is open to any business in the UK representing suppliers and manufacturers of equipment and services in all areas of maritime business. At present the Society has approximately 200 members ranging in size from SMEs to major international companies. In recognition of the growing influence of the Society we have also recently opened a category of overseas membership to appropriate organisations based outside the United Kingdom.
