There are four main types of search in the Marketing Information section:
Single ship search: Retrieves details of a single vessel following a search by ship name, call sign or IMO number.
Companies search: Retrieves the details of an individual company or groups of companies against a range of search criteria. Links to company web sites are provided in some cases.
Ports search: Shows details of ports worldwide including type of cargo handled, an indication of volume, details of companies associated with the port and news headlines.

Example search: Multiple ship search
One type of search you can do is for multiple ships which retrieves details of groups of vessels, managers or shipyards against a range of criteria. The search screen is shown below:

Example search results
Search results are shown below for the example search: existing bulk carrier ships where the ship manager country is the UK and with a year of build between 1982 and 1997. In this case we chose to output the results by ship. You can also output the results sorted by ship manager or ship builder.
Many other combinations of searches are possible as shown by the options on the example search screen above. The total number of records retrieved is indicated (which you can use to size markets) and you can navigate through the results by page. You can sort the results with the column titles shown.

Example ship details
From the list of results you can click on a manager's name to find out more details about that particular ship manager. An example is shown below from our sample list of results. From here you can also click on the vessel's name, the shipbuilders name or the registered owner for more details.
