Cyber-attacks on port systems are no longer the stuff of fiction.  For two years drug traffickers mounted a sophisticated cyber-attack on the port systems in Antwerp, Belgium before being detected in October 2013.

This seminar will discuss the Department for Transport Code of Practice: Cyber Security for Ports and Port Systems published last year and look at how industry can respond not only to external threats but also ensure systems are resilient.

PROGRAMME

We are pleased to welcome three experts on the topic:

  • Code of Practice: Cyber Security for Ports and Port Systems - Jim Spooner, Head of Maritime Security and Resilience, Department for Transport will outline the rationale for the Code.
  • Managing the technology risk and the regulatory pathway – Steve Williams, Partner, Moore Stephens.
  • Addressing the cyber threat and its context to the ISPS code - James Morris, Frazer-Nash Consultancy Ltd.
